Welcome

Green Neighbours 21 is a grassroots, action-oriented group of people who live in Ward 21, Toronto (and beyond) who are working together to respond to climate change and other environmental issues. It is based on the belief that although the problems we face are complex and challenging, there is a lot that we can do to make a difference, and it’s a lot more fun and effective if we work together. The group helps members of the community to learn more about the issues and to live more lightly on the planet. It offers an opportunity for neighbours to meet, and helps build strong community.

Our next meeting

Mon, 12 Jan, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Location: Skills for Change, 791 St. Clair Ave. West (at Greenside)

Please join us for the second meeting of our Discussion Group on Naomi Klein’s new book, This Changes Everything.

Our first meeting in December brought a good turnout and a very stimulating discussion on the book’s Introduction and first two chapters. There seemed to be a lot of interest in finding ways we can use the book’s ideas to spark a serious response to the unfolding climate emergency.

Our goal for the January meeting is to read up through the end of Part 2, but if you don’t get that far, please come anyway!
